Why have a wedding planner?

Why have a wedding planner?

I see soooo many – like 95% – of my couples planning their own weddings. Most couples “want to do it themselves”, which is cool, but I see the majority of them tired when it comes to the big day. So where does a wedding planner come into the equation? I asked my friends at White+White Weddings and Events to share their insider tips with you. These girls are in the business of orchestrating stunningly beautiful weddings so they know a thing or two about wedding planning. Master planner and company director Danielle White laid down the facts.

I asked Danielle a bunch of questions so you didn’t have to:

Are wedding planners only for the rich and famous?

Absolutely not. Our couples come to us for varying reasons. They may be time poor and simply don’t’ have enough hours in the day to plan their wedding due to work, family and study commitments. They may live interstate or overseas. Are overwhelmed with all the different components of planning a wedding, and don’t know where to start. Or they may just need a little assistance in pulling their vision and style together. Peace of mind is also a biggie – they want a stress free wedding planning experience and no worry on the day.

At white+white we offer two styles of packages. The full comprehensive planning service. And for couples who would like to do a lot of the organising themselves, we offer an On The Day Coordination package to take care of all the last minute details.

Can a wedding planner save me money?

Good wedding planners have long standing relationships with suppliers and venues that they trust will deliver nothing short of perfection every time. These vendors often offer discounts for couples through the wedding planning service. Wedding planners are a great source of knowledge and can direct couples in styling and planning ideas that can save them money without sacrificing their wedding day vision.

Does a wedding planner cost me a lot of money?

The cost of a wedding planners can vary according to the service provisions. At white+white our full planning packages are 10% of the overall budget with a minimum spend. Whilst the On The Day Coordination packages are less expensive for those couples keen of doing more themselves. Above all, remember that you are always looking for a stress free wedding experience, so a planner can be a worthy investment.

What does a wedding planner actually do?

Wedding planners work tirelessly to make their couple’s vision become a reality. From booking the venue and liaising with external vendors to managing the logistics and details on the day. Having a planner allows the Bride and Groom to savour and enjoy each and every moment of their wedding knowing that all the details are being taken care of.

PS. We love our job!

To make it even easier for you, we now have an office in Sydney as well as Brisbane. Our lovely Hannah is always on hand to speak to our Sydney couples face to face whilst Danielle is on the ground organising all the logistics from Brisbane, only a stones throw away from Byron.
