Let me share a story about a couple I met recently. Recently, I had the pleasure of sitting down with a fantastic couple, who I adore, and if you're reading this, you know who you are! We were brainstorming their wedding ceremony, and it was quite the adventure.

The groom, having scoured the depths of Google, stumbled upon some traditional wedding scripts that didn't quite resonate with them.

He walked into the meeting hoping to edit these boring wedding scripts and traditions into something good.

In return I was a little blunt, and I said "when you are baking a chocolate cake, would you start with a stool sample and try to morph it into something delicious? No, a remarkable cake begins with fresh and delightful ingredients."

The awkward, uncomfortable moments in weddings often stem from clinging to conventional scripts and trying to tweak them. But really, you don't have to, and frankly, you shouldn't.

The magic of a truly remarkable wedding lies not in the fancy add-ons like photobooths or sparklers. It's in how genuinely and passionately the celebration reflects, celebrates, and holds the couple.

Remember, the couple getting married are individuals with their unique personalities first. Together, they create a relationship unlike any other, growing into a one-of-a-kind marriage. This deserves a ceremony and a wedding just as unique as they are.

My advice? Don't Google, search Pinterest, or ask ChatGPT for ideas for an awesome wedding.

Instead, look for wedding vendors who resonate with your vision, those who can help craft a celebration that's authentically yours. Forget about re-working outdated, awkward traditions. Focus on creating a wedding that's a true reflection of you, and let the rest of the world fade away.
