One of the greatest blessings I've ever been gifted was my mother walking out on our family when I was five.

Don't get me wrong, it was horrible, and means I'll probably always be somewhere near a self-help book, a bible, or a therapist.

But the truth of it was that I learned at an early age that we all get to make decisions. Very few of us acting like victims are actually victims, we all get to make choices, and those choices shape our lives.
